Bimetallic Plates for Electrode Arms
CECAL manufactures steel/copper bimetallic plates for EAF electrode arms, used in areas where high electrical conductivity must be combined with mechanical strength and structural support. These components serve as interfaces between conductive parts and support elements, helping ensure efficient current transfer and assembly integrity during operation.
The steel/copper combination brings together the complementary properties of both materials: the structural strength of steel and the high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper. Manufactured through specialized metal-bonding processes, with dimensional control and suitable finishing for contact surfaces, these bimetallic plates are developed according to each electrode arm’s requirements, with a focus on durability, electrical reliability, and performance under demanding thermal and mechanical conditions.
