Tuyere coolers, also known as tymps, provide thermal protection around the tuyere area, one of the most critical regions of a blast furnace. These components operate under high thermal loads and are exposed to abrasion, hot gases, and splashes of molten iron and slag, making them essential to furnace stability and equipment integrity.

CECAL designs and manufactures copper and special-alloy tymps with internal cooling channels engineered for efficient heat removal. Geometry, water-cooling layout, and mounting interfaces are tailored to each blast furnace’s operating conditions, supporting longer service life, reliability, and safe continuous operation.
